• Recommends the book "Built for Use: Driving Profitability Through the User Experience" by Karen Donoghue.
• "Trust is built through consistency of positive experiences over time"
• Mikilvægt að huga að notandanum í hönnunarferlinu, og passa að hagsmunir og þarfir notendanna troðist ekki undir þörfum og væntingum fyrirtækisins - "the bottom line drowning the user experience".
• Talar mikið um "branding", "brand reputation", "lifestyle", etc. Allt tiltölulega abstrakt og professional... og því kannski frekar lítið erindi hjá litlum íslenskum fyrirtækjum sem keyra á hverfandi litlu hönnunar/þróunar/framleiðslu budgeti.
• User lifestyle research ("ethnographic research" or "deep hanging out" :-) for products and services becomes increasingly important as mobile, GPS enabled, devices become more commonly used.
• What people do vs. what people say: Ethnography ...to... Usability tests ...to... Interviews ...to... Focusgroups.
• Establish workflow: Define ... structure ... design ... build ... measure.
• "Get all decision makers into one room and conduct information design iintensive. Saves a lot of time and misunderstanding."
• Prioritize project tasks/features based on different levels: Business needs, Technology and User needs.
• "Speed up visual design processes by using 'Brand Boards'" ... stórar skjámyndir með samklippi af myndum, litum, formum sem hver og ein kemur til skila ákveðinni stemmningu og hönnunar útgangspunkti sem hægt er að byggja næsta skref í hönnunarferlinu á - þ.e. að byrja að útfæra skjámyndir af vefsíðum.
