The traffic article is really interesting. Unfortunately, having worked closely with the Department of Traffic in Reykjavík City, I'd be very surprised to see any radical experiments of this sort made in Reykjavík. Though not for lack of good intentions, but teaching an old dog...

I guess this sort of thing, like any form of anarchism, works best if applied first on a very small scale and then allowed to spread naturally from there.

You can take the implementations and speculations of big-Oh in the text and use it in all languages. Not HTML nor XML though ;) All programers need to consider these things to make their apps fast. Or at least faster than if they do not.
