CSS-Styled Bullet Lists
MaxDesign: Listamatic - One List, Many Options. A gallery of examples of simple HTML bullet lists styled with CSS.
However, none of the horisontal menus (except one) display nicely in IE 5.0 for Windows, so I decided that I need to make one that does.
Here's a horizontal menu that looks nice in wast majority of browsers - including IE 5.0 for Windows.
Comments and bug fixes are welcome.

On my (56K) modem the background images are rather slow to appear as the browser (IE6.0 Win) seems to download them every time.
When I mouse-over the buttons they immediately become plain gray with red text, but the yellow glow doesn't appear until after two seconds or so. And if I glide the mouse along the whole row it takes about 6 seconds for all the original backgrounds to appear. I suppose one wouldn't notice on a high speed connection - but the modem gives the trick away.
Therefore some kind of cache-ing of the images might be neccessary.
Other than that - it looks nice :)

Your list is great - want to submit it via the Listamatic submit form?
The listamatic now has additional info such as "External resources", "Why use lists for site navigation?", "Browsers types and lists", "The IE box model and Doctype modes" and most importantly (and most frequently requested) a browser support chart.

Thanks Russ
