New Content Syndication Feature
Today I hacked out a RSS publishing feature for the site.
The RSS file can be found at http://mar.anomy.net/weblog.rss (Update: The original file has since been moved to a new location). I follow the RSS 0.91 specification, which is the latest stable version of RSS.
Of course my silly mixture of English and Icelandic weblog entries, renders my <language> decleration only half correct.
What I might do is to publish both Icelandic-only and English-only RSS in addition to the mixed one. Later on I might also add other versions that focus on certain subject categories.
One thing I noticed as I wrote the RSS builder, was that there is no such thing as <date> for <item>s in RSS 0.91. There is only <pubDate> and that applies for the whole channel only. I find this quite strange.
More like this: English Entries, .
