The Role of Time

Written May 23. 2000, at 12:30 GMT.

Pär Almqvist writes A List Apart article called Fragments of Time. This is one of the more thought provoking articles I've read in a long time.

The article discusses a wide range of issues, including how mergers of small web development companies can stifle creativity, how simplicity is hard, how the best interfaces are the invisible ones, how the web has developed over the years, and - most importantly - how thinking takes time.

This Pär guy is a Swedish web developer and Information Architect. Judging from his writing he seems to have a strong background in graphic design, which gives his views a fresh tone - a little different from the usual hard-core usability-gurus(tm).

Good stuff!
