5k awards are over, the panel of judges has selected the winners. There were well over 1000 entries in all. That number supposedly exceeded even the brightest hopes of the people who held the competion. I expect that next year there'll be many times more entries.

What the winning entries all have in common is an extremely clever use of client-side scripting (DHTML) that only works in the newest versions of browsers. The 3D Tetris is a prime example of this.

However, when browsing through the Full list of entries I came across some very clever (and funny!!) entries that relied only on clever use of orinary HTML. I like simple.
