Government Support for Open-Source Software?
This one comes from from Slashdot (interesting discussion there as always).
There's an ongoing "round-table" discussion at The American Prospect titled Should Public Policy Support Open-Source Software?. Among the participants are names such as Eric S. Raymond and Lawrence Lessig.
The discussion seems to be quite interesting (a lot to read!!!). "Lessig calls Raymond's philosophy nothing more than Ayn Rand warmed-over, while Raymond calls the regulation Lessig endorses 'one-size-fits-all pseudo-cooperation enforced at the point of government guns."
