At 03:00: XML in Layman's Terms
I came across this one a couple of weeks back. Builder.com's Master Builder, Dan Shafer writes The Truth About XML.
It's a nice piece of article explaining the whats and what-nots of XML. I'll probably point to this as a standard reading for people totally clueless about XML.

At 02:00: The Landover Babtist Church
I found the The Landover Babtist Church page scary at first, and then quite funny. This stuff looks and smells just too real...

(BTW, I do realise that the LBC is not real.)

At 01:00: Yahoo Strikes Smart, Yet Again
Yahoo! GeoCities are about to remove the irritating popup-window advertisements and replace them with Ad Squares. Its a tiny and neat-looking DHTML square that sits in the corner of each window with a GeoCities homepage. It runs through a short ad, and then quietly rolls itself up and out of the way. (See this example)
Here comes the Yahoo-Brilliance part: As an incentive for people to like their Ad Square, Yhaoo has built several free (optional) services into the Ad Square. Standard "Mail Link", "E-mail this page to a friend", "sign my guestbook", etc. This way the Ad Square becomes a friendly and helpful element on each page unlike those irritating popups.
Only Yahoo!
