Rant about Website design

During my trip to .dk I did some random thinking about different ways to approach website design. I thought mostly about the common logical-hirarchy navigation versus something I would call task-specific navigation. I thought about if it was feasible to create a list of standard tasks the users of a site will need to perform and how to add to that list and more importantly how to present it to the user.
