At 03:00: Whee! This site is a "Weblog"
This just dawned on me today, what I'm making here is a weblog. I was reading Jon Katz' article Electric Media: Part 2 - weblogs, and linking from that Cameron Barrett's Camworld rant on weblogs.
I knew I wasn't doing anything new, but I must admit that I was surprised to find out that they've even invented a specific term for it.
Lemonyellow.com is one "weblog" that found recently. It struck me as being so wonderfully simple and personal - yet interesting. I agree with Cameron's view that weblogs need not be updated on a daily basis to be interesting. Few times a week should suffice.

At 02:00: I look forward to the Eurovision song contest!
It's corny, it's lame, it's Eurotrash to the extreme, and I absolutely love it!
As I write this I am listening to the Icelandic candidate singing All Out of Luck. I really like that song. It's so ABBA, so seventies, so Spice Girls, so much Danish Aqua, all rolled into one. Lowest of the low dumb-blond I-don't-care-because-watch-MTV sort of song! Brain-dead and loving it.
There's another similarly dumb song at the Icelandic Eurovision Site called All the Wrong People. I like it almost as much.

At 01:00: The Terrible Language Dilemma
I'm Icelandic, and therefore is English only my second language. My problem: I write better Icelandic, but, the reach of a website is international, and many of the things I write/think about should concern from all over the world. As I get this site going I keep asking myself over and over, which language should I choose; Icelandic or English?
I've decided, for the time being, to go for English as the default language, but switch over to Icelandic when I'm writing about topics relating primarily to Icelanders. The Icelandic version of this site will therefore have content in both languages at once. Bit of a mind-boggler for Icelanders I guess, but what the hey!
